Skincare is a highly personal journey, and no single product can solve every skin concern or create the same results for everyone. Different products work differently for each individual, but certain general treatments tend to benefit most people. In this post, I’ll discuss overall skin care tips and share my personal routine that helps keep my skin radiant, youthful, and acne-free, drawing from my own experience as a model.

Beauty, like skin care, is also subjective and influenced by numerous factors. Some features, such as skin color, face shape, skeletal structure, and genetic skin conditions, are beyond our control. Physiologically speaking, certain traits are often associated with conventional standards of beauty. These include having an even skin tone, facial symmetry, and proportionate lips — neither too large nor too small. Additionally, larger, more expressive eyes are commonly perceived as attractive. Full eyebrows and eyelashes can also contribute to a youthful appearance. Beauty standards vary widely across different cultures and evolve over time, reflecting both physiological attributes and psychological influences. But let’s shift focus from these standards and delve into the main content of the blog.

My skin care routine as a model:

Morning 10 min:

  • Aloe Vera gel (with sandalwood infused in it)
  • Cerave 30 spf (with niacinamide, 3 ceramides, and hyaluronic acid) cream
  • Skin care makeup
  • Aloe Vera and coconut milk skin tint
  • Sky high mascara with caster oil
  • Carmex spf 15 or medicated lip balm
  • Lip stain (optional)

Night 20–30 min:

  • Face mask (papaya and honey, milk, sandalwood, turmeric, rice flour, and honey)
  • Wash face with Kojic acid and Turmeric soap or Cerave gentle foam cleanser
  • Curology (solves acne, hyperpigmentation, inflammation) or serum (retinol, niacinamide, vitamin C, peptides + HA, caffeine, etc)
  • Dove ceramides cream + carrot infused coconut oil (mix together and apply generously onto face, neck, and arms)
  • Red light therapy once a week

Taking care of your skin is essential, particularly if you desire a smooth, youthful, and radiant complexion. It’s important to remember that skincare goes beyond just what you apply to your face and neck; it also includes what you nourish your body with through diet. Additionally, you must care for your entire body, not just your face, to achieve holistic skin health. Focusing only on one area leaves other parts neglected, which isn’t truly caring for yourself fully. Self-care plays a crucial role in this process, and making time daily to care for yourself should be a disciplined practice, not an afterthought. When you prioritize both skin care and self-care, you’re nurturing your well-being inside and out.
